CSS Director Joey Melvin will be conducting a swatting tabletop exercise at Pennsylvania Department of Education’s school safety conference, “From Bricks to Belonging: Cultivating Safe and Secure Learning Environments through Understanding, Planning, and Reflecting,” May 14-15 in Erie.
During the Swatting Tabletop Exercise, develop physical and emotional strategies for cultivating safe and secure educational settings during a swatting incident.
About the Conference
This conference offers a unique opportunity for school administrative teams to participate in a tabletop exercise and develop strategies for cultivating safe and secure educational settings for students and staff. Organized through a collaborative effort involving multiple agencies, this event is designed to deliver practical insights, comprehensive understanding, and up-to-the-minute updates on school safety.
Pennsylvania administrative school teams consisting of 3-5 staff members are encouraged to attend this event. Each team should include the superintendent or assistant superintendent, the school safety and security coordinator, and at least one principal. Additional staff members, such as school principals, school resource officers, school security personnel, or support staff are also encouraged to join. Please note that there is a maximum group size of five people.
